The group of Soumbara producers has received several equipment for the processing of Nere. This logistical support is part of the Nere transformation and marketing project, which is the subject of an agreement between the Rio Tinto Foundation and the NGO Appui au Développement des Initiatives Locales (ADIL).
Large capacity pots, packages, sieves and basins were made available to the women producers of Nere. Added to this, are 3 tricycles to facilitate the transport of products. A drying area of the products was also constructed for each grouping.
With an envelope of nearly 400,000,000 GNF Soumabara producers now offer Guinean consumers quality soumbara packaged in plastic bags instead of the usual paper recovery.
